Mask

Mask is a series quite different from the previous ones: after spending years playing with the extreme manipulation of pre-existing images, I decided to try creating "portraits" from scratch.

Starting from a blank canvas, I poured the primary colours in a semi-random way, then intervened with various types of manipulation and distortion.

Once the main forms were defined, I pushed the digital traits further with adjustments of light, contrast and colour, altering perspective planes and generating new details.

For each work, several versions were produced, each intended for printing on different substrates and inks.
