Positivized Biomorphic Space Mixed media Artworks (1995-1998)
This is a study on the misperception based on some fundamental points of the theory of Gestalt, the psychological current that has revealed perceptual reactions to apparent forms.
In detail, the phenomena of good form, proximity and semblance are exploited to induce the viewer to see an abstract spatial composition instead of the figure that generates it.
In brief:
A well defined subject is abstract until it becomes background, while everything around it becomes living and pulsating matter.
Can you see it?

Women
Are women the background of my life or an integral part of it?
They are, when they want, the softest thing I know, so soft that even what is around them becomes soft; all I want is to cover them with softness, so I sit them on a secondary plane, trembling, while I exalt the space around them as if it wanted to possess them or be possessed by them, a space that prevails only in appearance, because the real subject of the work and of my thought remains the woman.
The woman as the center of the universe, or perhaps as the universe itself, which is not understood, at least not at first glance because she is sneaky, or mysterious, or is always at the center of our existence even if we do not realize it: it is a cosmos that we, no matter how sinuous, impetuous, graceful or bursting, we do not actually manage to put in the background.
