Dee - Digital Enhanced Evas Digital Artworks (1999-2006)
Around 1998, after having painted with every traditional technique, I wonder if even on the computer the artistic interpretation makes sense.
This is how the Dee series was born: I started to distort low-resolution photographs, extracting every detail of the image with lights, contrasts and filters. I exalt natural elements and artifacts without ever falling into the imitation of styles and brushstrokes, giving life to a new aesthetic.
Over time the Dee series evolves, enriching itself with new signs and dynamics.
The best works boast three compositional levels: color, shape and detail.
.
In the latter, as with Rorschach's spots, you can see other icons, symbols or entire universes.
Will and chaos are mixed in the digital creative phase, which I call "non-linear" for the possibility of intervening at different times and on several elements simultaneously.
