Mask Freehand from blank canvas digital artworks (2005->)

Mask is a series of artworks different from the previous ones: after playing for years on the extreme manipulation of pre-existing images, I wanted to try to create "portraits" from scratch.

Starting from the white canvas I poured the main colors in a semi-casual way, then I worked with different kinds of manipulation and distortion.

Once I defined the main shapes, I exasperated the digital strokes with interventions of light, contrast and color, altering the perspective planes and generating new details.

Of each artwork I created different versions, each intended for printing with different media and inks.
